Relais & Chateaux’s only Marrakech riad is housed in two grand buildings from the early 20th century, set around two large courtyards, one large enough to accommodate an 18-meter swimming pool. Located just outside the medina walls, the riad has the advantage that cars can drop guests right outside the door. It is about 10 minutes walk from Djemaa el-Fna square. Guests appreciate the orange-scented garden, with a fountain and olive and palm trees framing intricately carved plaster arches.
Each of the 27 rooms overlooks one of the courtyards and most have a private balcony or terrace. The décor has a French colonial style, with hand-carved furniture and leather chairs, while the bathrooms are finished in tadelakt. In addition to the large heated main pool, there is a smaller plunge pool on the roof terrace. The riad also features a beautifully decorated restaurant, a small gym, an underground hammam and an excellent spa offering a long list of professional facials, scrubs, massages and masks, with natural NUXE products.
