Depart Bangkok for Bang Pa-In or the Summer Palace, which is 53 km. away from Bangkok. Then proceed to see the ruins of Ayuthaya, the old capital of Thailand. Reigned by 33 Kings from different Siamese dynasties until 1767, then it was conquered and completely  destroyed by the Burmese. The “Ayuthaya” period was one of the most important periods for the Thai history, which had also the influence over the successive periods. Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, continue the journey to Sukhothai, which is located at  approximately 358 km., check in at the reserved hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

American breakfast at hotel, check-out and depart to visit the historical park and Wat Sri Chum. Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, visit Sri Satchanalai which is 80 km. away from Sukhothai and then proceed for another 287 km. directly to Chiang Mai with arrival in the early evening. Check in at the reserved hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

American breakfast at the hotel. Start the day with a tour to Doi Suthep (1676 m. AMSL), the landmark of Chiang Mai where the beautiful pagoda of Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, built in 1383 during the reign of the King “Kue-Na”, is located. From the top of the Doi Suthep, enjoy a beautiful panorama view of Chiang Mai city. Then experience Lanna style architecture at Wat Suan Dok and Wat Phra Singh. Stop at Bai Orchid to visit an orchid nursery farm and lunch. Then, afternoon proceed to Sankamphaeng for a home industries tour, a real shopping paradise, waiting for your best bargains from handicrafts, silver ornaments to clothes. In the evening leave the hotel for a Thai dinner with classical dances at the exclusive restaurant “Le Grand Lanna” at Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi. Return to hotel and overnight.

American breakfast at hotel, check out and leave your hotel to visit Elephant Training Camp “Mae Ping”, where we will observe the elephants at work in the forest and other interesting exercises. We will also enjoy an hour elephant ride in the jungle (already included in the package price). Then continue to Baan Tha Ton. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant by the Maekok River (Maekok River Village Resort). Experience one hour and half boat trip on the Maekok River from Baan Tha Ton to Baan Pa Tai and observe the lives of local people. Continue the journey by minibus or mini truck to Chiang Rai. A stop for visit Baan-Ya-Pa (Three Hill Tribes Villages) where we will see Akha, Lahu Shi Balah, and Padong Long Neck Karen (visit to the village already included in the package price). Arrive Chiang Rai in the evening, check-in at the reserved hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

American breakfast, check-out and departure at 07.00 hrs. for a visit to Mae Sai, a market village at the border with Myanmar. At Maesai will take an hour break for those who want to shop around in the local market. After that proceed to the Golden Triangle on the bank of the Mekong River where the Sop Ruak River and the Mekong River create the natural borders of Thailand, Myanmar and Laos. Visit Opium House (already included in the package price). Lunch is not included in the program. Then transfer to Chiang Rai airport in time to board your flight to Bangkok and connecting flight to other destinations (suggested flight TG135 15.45-17.05 hrs.).
