Daintree dreaming

At Cooya Beach, Kuyu Kuyu  in Aborigine, you will meet the Walker brothers, of the Aborigine tribe Kuku Yalanji. They will show you the lagoon area of the bay, fishing territory for millenniums, made of three different ecosystems: beach, coral reef and mangroves. Here you will procure your tucker, your meal, and you will try to fish or catch the delicious crabs in the mud. You will be escorted at the Mossman Canyon, where you will be welcomed by the local tribe with a ceremony for the cleaning of the soul: this is a symbol of respect and acceptance in the territory where the Kuku Yalanki live.
