Litchfield, termites and waterfalls

100 km south-east from Darwin it’s located the Litchfield national park, a particularly important place for the local Aborigine peoples. You may visit the wonderful eroded rocks of the Lost City, losing you between the stretches of the termit mound or follow the path of the waterfalls and the natural pools. Between the most famous waterfalls there are the spectacular twin waterfalls called Florence Falls or the Tjaetaba Falls, sacred for the Aborigines. Don’t be afraid if you meet a flying fox: these giant bats feed only on tropical fruit and don’t pose any threat.
