Riad Yamina 52

Where:
Marrakech
Riad Yamina52 is an elegant and welcoming home, located in the heart of the Medina of Marrakech, with its labyrinth of alleys and souks, a place of total relaxation, where only the chirping of birds can be heard, just five minutes walk from the lively and magical Jemaa El Fna square.
This traditional Moroccan house has been restored using local materials and ancient construction techniques.
A refined combination of tadelakt, zellige tiles and traditional furnishings that gives the riad an exclusive ancient charm that is savoured everywhere.  The structure consists of three inter-connecting properties and offers 13 guest rooms.
The riad is a continuous discovery that never ceases to amaze.
The guest is immediately captured by the scents, colours and luxe of spaces, the main entrance in blue tadelakt with the ceiling studded with lanterns, the small courtyard with fountain of the Essalam property, the main courtyard Yamina with  pool and orange trees, a perfect place to relax while sipping a glass of mint tea.
Spacious guest rooms are facing the pool, on the first floor all rooms overlook the internal courtyards, two of our superior suites are located on the top floor.  Our suites are all different, with a strong identity and perfectly combine comfort with tradition. There is no shortage of common areas for relaxation: our library with fireplace to pamper yourself on colder evenings, the patio and the alcove, our terrace with sofas and tables, ideal for breakfast or an evening aperitivo. Sun bed available on the roof.
A daily service of Moroccan cuisine upon reservation.
Our attentive and professional staff will take  care of you and make you feel at home throughout your stay.

In the heart of Marrakech’s most authentic medina, Riad Yamina 52 is not simply a riad — it is a true Moroccan home, intentionally designed to offer guests an intimate, sincere, and deeply local experience.

The owners made a clear and courageous decision: no international hotel aesthetic, no standardized comforts, no staged perfection.
Every piece has been carefully sourced from antique markets, souks, and traditional artisans. Nothing is decorative for the sake of appearance — everything carries a story.

Here, doors come directly from the antic market
A mirror may show gentle traces of oxidation.
A pane of glass may not be perfectly smooth.

And that is entirely intentional.

It is not neglect.
It is authenticity.
A conscious choice not to “restore into perfection,” not to polish away the soul of the house just to make it look new.

Every imperfection is a statement of identity.

A Home, Not a Hotel

At Riad Yamina 52, you will not find:

- electric kettles in the rooms
- Nespresso machines
- international minibars
- tiramisu on the dessert menu

Not because something is missing — but because these elements do not belong in a real Moroccan home.

Mint tea is prepared the traditional way.
Coffee is part of a ritual, not a capsule.
Desserts reflect Moroccan heritage, not Western reinterpretations.

The goal is not to provide what guests already know.
The goal is to immerse them in something genuine.

Decor & Furniture: Nothing Is Staged

Antique doors carefully restored.
Vintage furniture discovered in local markets.
Handwoven rugs with human imperfections.
Lanterns casting warm, golden light.

Nothing is overly coordinated.
Nothing feels showroom-perfect.

It feels lived in.
It feels personal.
It feels Moroccan.

The Kitchen: The True Heart of the House

In Morocco, the kitchen is the soul of the home — and here, it remains so.

Breakfast is generous, traditional, and prepared with care:

- warm Moroccan bread
- freshly made msemen
- local honey
- homemade jams
- yogurt and seasonal fruit
- traditional pastries
- mint tea served with ceremony

There is no attempt to internationalize the table.
This is Moroccan hospitality — authentic, generous, heartfelt.

Dinners, available upon request, follow family recipes: fragrant tagines, slow-prepared couscous, spices balanced with experience and love. Meals are cooked as they would be for friends, not for hotel guests.

Imperfect. Honest. Real.

Riad Yamina 52 is for travelers who understand that authenticity is not symmetrical.
For those who appreciate that a creaking door can tell more than a flawless design feature.

Nothing here is artificially perfect.
Everything is deliberately real.

And in a world that often feels increasingly standardized, that authenticity becomes the truest form of luxury.
