The hypnotic desert of Thar, but also art and
architecture, with ghost towns and fortresses, Maharaja's fabulous palaces, and
still lively traditional costumes, picturesque bazaars.
Climate:
The best period runs from late October to March, with
temperatures not exceeding 30 °. December, January and February are the most
temperate months. In April temperatures begin to rise, in August they remain
high in Rajasthan and in Delhi. In Rajasthan the climate is dry throughout the
year, excluding July and August during which the monsoon may occurr, with
sporadic but intense thunderstorm.
