Malaysia is split in two, as much by geography as by administration. The western part, Mainland Malaysia, which extends south of Thailand, offers a classic vacation in Southeast Asia, but the eastern part, located on the north side of the island of Borneo, promises more of a tropical wilderness adventure.

Climate:

The climate is tropical, hot and humid. On the mountains the air is pleasantly cool while in the plain are the coolest hours of the evening. Between October and February, the northeast monsoon, wettest, affects the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia and Borneo. Between June and December rains are more frequent along the west coast.
