Hurawalhi Island Resort is located in the northern atoll of Lhaviyani (45 minutes by seaplane from Male International Airport), and features pleasant beaches and coral reefs that contain an amazing variety of marine life.
The resort, designed by Japanese architect Yuji Yamazaki, offers a modern, minimalist slant to traditional Maldivian design. The 90 villas are overwater or located on the beach, many of them with a private pool. The flagship of this structure is the iconic 5.8 Undersea Restaurant, the largest underwater restaurant in the world. The other two restaurants are Canneli, a beach buffet restaurant and bar offering international cuisine, and Kashibo, a gourmet restaurant with sea views and a seafood bar. Guests have access to a full range of water sports facilities, a swimming pool, a gym, a tennis court, a five-a-side football pitch and a spa.
