Known as the oasis of al-Buraymi, the history of Al Ain is represented in the previous milleniums. Fundamental stop-over of the carovans routes in the Arabic desert, it was already settled in 2500 b.C. and the remains of these first sedentary populations have been designated UNESCO World Heritage site. Here you may visit the falaj, ancient irrigation systems, Bedouin culture museums and the camel market. Even if this is the fourth biggest city of the country, it mantained a strong Arabic identity, with few European influeces, typical of Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
