In January, the monsoon in the north brings cold and generally dry weather, with some exceptions in Tonkin, where they can cause light rain but of long duration. From June the monsoon begins to blow from the south, hot and humid, which causes intense rainfall. A feature of the climate of Vietnam is the presence of periodic typhoons, winds of oceanic origin that strike violently on the shores of the country generally from June to October, starting from the north coast, passing on to the central (August) and southern regions (September-October).
