Deep-sea fishing in Australia

Where:
The Great Barrier Reef
Australia, due to its position between two oceans, is famous all over the world for having some of the best spots to practice deep sea fishing, that is the fishing of large specimens where the sea is at least 30 m deep. In Queensland you can go in search of black Marlin, Barracuda, Vela Pisces, Royal Mackerel and Red Emperors, the latter famous for their delicate meat. In Victoria, the largest specimens of Marlin and Pesce Vela were caught, as well as the various types of sharks that make up the so-called flake, shark meat very popular in Australia for fish & chips. In Western Australia, the most suitable area is that of Ningaloo Reef, where you can meet sailfish, tuna, mackerel, carpet sharks, wahoo or the delicious lampughe. Every region is ideal for deep-sea fishing, you just have to be careful about seasonality: some fish can only be found in the periods when they pass near the coast.
